European Vacation 2014

Recently I (by I, I mean my mother, father, and grandmother) went on a vacation all around europe. We left our house early on the fourteenth of June. We took the bus from Madison to Chicago. We flew out of O' Hare and took a direct flight to Amsterdam. We went to Amsterdam mainly because of the book, The Fault in our Stars, by John Green. We Stayed in the Hotel Philosoof, which is where Hazel and Augustus stayed in the book. It was a quirky little hotel with quotes from philosophers all over the walls. My grandma and I had to share a room, the Stars' Suite. The hotel was very centrally located right next to Vondel Park. I hate bike riding, but was forced to go around the park. To my surprise, it was very enjoyable. Riding a bike in Amsterdam is much like driving a car in other places. We went on a canal tour boat and took a padal boat around the city. To my displeasure, we went to the Budweiser experience. We also went to the Anne Frank Museum. Which I found very interesting. I read The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne frank a few years ago on vacation in the Cayman Islands. That was the first stop on a two and a half week vacation around Europe.
